We listen, act, and transform
Peter Anderson studied acting for a year at North Carolina School of the Arts before earning a Bachelors degree in environmental engineering from Appalachian State University. He also holds Masters degrees in Divinity (M. Div.) and Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from Reformed Theological Seminary. In 2017, he then completed a Th.M in Hebrew Literature at Gordon-Conwell.
During his time as an environmental engineer, Peter’s life experiences sent him on a journey to understand the nature of grief. He was drawn to seminary in Jackson, MS, where he grew interested in counseling to help those around him address their relationship issues, their grief, and their loneliness.
After receiving his degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Peter moved to the Boston area to take a clinical job with the agency Family Continuity. He opened his private practice in 2014 after a stint with the Children’s Friend and Family Services agency in Gloucester. Peter also serves as an adjunct professor at Endicott College. He is actively involved in the community, working as an on-call clinician at North Shore Medical Center’s Union Hospital; as well as Lahey’s Burlington Hospital performing psychiatric triage in the Emergency Room.
